Saturday 18th April. Thame Swimming Club’s Launch party was held at the Lord Williams’s School Upper Site Hall courtesy of Mr Brooks. Many of you attended and enjoyed the disco, won prizes at the raffle and bid for some of those Team GB Olympic T-Shirts & Swimming hats.

Firstly a big Thank You to Caroline Finch for organising the event with support coming from committee members and other parents. The baby photo competition made you laugh and cringe and MC David Jones got the party rocking. MC Dave J organised a Captains & Vice Captains rendition of Brian Adams’s “Summer of ‘69” followed by the Committee and in particular Simon Haarburger (Treasurer) and David Cross (Officials Officer) pulling out the stops on the same song.

This was a great event to mark the launch of your swimming club so a big thank you to all those who came. We are now on our full training programme with our first gala coming up in only 2 weeks.
